Judging Criteria 

The films will be separated and judged by age group, middle / high school. In the event you’re in elementary school and wish to compete, you will be competing in the middle school competition. In no circumstances will a higher age competitor be able to join a lower age group team. 

Films shall be no longer than 4 minutes long and shall have a minimum capture quality of  720p.

CASH awards of first ($500), second ($250), and third place ($100) will be given for each of the age groups.

The People’s Choice Contest will be preformed on the CBMAFC Facebook page before the awards at a later specified date, all contestants will be part of the People’s Choice Contest for a chance to win $100! 

Judging will consist of 4 separate categories with points totaling 80 they are as follows below:

Style (20 points) 

-Personal or team riding style and creativity (if you’re going to ride fast it better look good!)

-overall team stoke level!!! I.e. outtakes, crashes, good vibes, high fives, hoots and hollers etc. 

All Mountain (20 points)

-We want to see how well you or your team can slay that natural terrain! 

-ideas include trees, moguls, POWDER, natural jumps, groomers, etc. 

Freestyle (10 points)

-Jumps and tricks will be judged in and out of the terrain park.

-reminder, this is not a freestyle competition but incorporating your jumps and tricks within your riding limits good! 

Overall Edit (30 points)

-the quality of film capture will be judged, avoid shaky videos, foggy lenses, grainy footage, missed captures, etc. 

-overall impression, does your video feel like a film or just 4 minutes of clips. Does the music match the riding/ vibe of the film etc.
